Chris develops industry-sponsored research opportunities in the life sciences at Oregon State University. His primary role is the negotiation and administration of contracts with corporate sponsors. He also serves as a resource for faculty to help them transition basic research into applied projects. Additionally, Chris collaborates with others in OCCD to facilitate patenting and licensing of the results of industry-sponsored research.
Chris arrives from the technology transfer office of Oregon Health & Science University, where he focused on contracting, industry-sponsored research programs, and patentability review of invention disclosures.
Chris holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Oregon State University, and a JD (with Business Law certification) from Lewis & Clark Law School. He is also a patent agent registered with the US Patent and Trademark Office.
